This is the second concert (of five) in a series presenting Beethoven’s complete sonatas for violin and piano, exploring the development of his style from the early compositions of 1797-8, when he made his living as a virtuoso pianist, to the monumental final sonata of 1812, as he struggled to come to terms with his deafness.
