London Map Fair 2019

The largest antique map fair in Europe, established in 1980, takes place at the historic venue of the Royal Geographical Society on Saturday 8th, and Sunday 9th June 2019.
This event brings together around 40 of the leading national and international antiquarian map dealers as well as hundreds of visiting sellers, collectors, curators and map aficionados from all parts of the world. A very large selection of original antique maps are available for sale, ranging in age from the 15th to the 20th century, covering all parts of the world, and priced to suit all pockets: from £10 to £100,000.
Lecture on Saturday at 2.30pm: Academic, editor and author Alexander J. Kent talks about ‘Cold War Cartography: Unravelling the Secret Soviet Military Mapping Programme’.
There are lectures by Ashley Baynton-Williams throughout the weekend on map collecting for beginners.
Admission to the event, and the lectures, is entirely free of charge.
