Tele-Port! at Hackney Wick
November 22 @ 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm£12
Tele-Port! is a brand new project consisting of leading jazz voices from Luxembourg, bassist Pol Belardi, keyboardist Jérôme Klein and drummer Jeff Herr plus saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev. This is their first public performance, playing new especially composed original music.
Also on this double bill, at the Hackney canalside bar Grow on Thursday 22nd November, are the UK’s fastest rising drumming talent, Jamie Murray and his band Beat Replacement, featuring saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev.
All the musicians have a wide range of experience and have played in most major venues and festivals in Europe and overseas.
The event forms part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Carved out of an old sausage factory, Grow is an independent canal side bar, kitchen and creative space in Hackney Wick run as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business.
It works in partnership with local artists, musicians, DJ’s and community groups. Events range from live jazz and blues, open deck reggae, DJ collectives, open mic and arts festivals, and everything in-between.
Grow is at 98c Main Yard, Wallis Road, Hackney Wick, E9 5LN, just two minutes walk from Hackney Wick Overground and 15 mins walk from Stratford.
Tickets £12.00 (fee of £1.20 applies if booking online)
