The Great River Race 2019

London’s Great River Race is a spectacular rowing challenge up the River Thames.
It attracts over 330 traditional boats from all over the world, including gigs, skiffs, cutters, currachs, jolly boats, naval whalers, Chinese dragon boats, Hawaiian war canoes, Viking longships, shallops, skerries, wherries and many, many more.
Starting from Millwall Slipway at 11.20am, the race covers a 22 mile course. The leading boat is expected to cross the finish line, below Ham House in Richmond, at around 2.30pm.
All Thames bridges, including Tower Bridge, the Millennium Bridge, Hungerford Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Battersea Bridge and Chiswick Bridge are good viewpoints to watch the race.
